Zemlicka and Dick Shannon.
Together we have over 40 years of automotive
and offroad experience. We create our
ideas from needs that we have encountered
and turn them into real products with
painstaking engineering and analysis.
Morris Zemlicka
Morris has been in the auto and truck parts and service business since 1973, owned a retail store then a repair shop, working for NAPA for 6 ½ years and in an offroad shop for 3 ½ years. He joined the Grass Valley 4 Wheelers in 1996, and was the Trail Master for 6 years. He chairs the club’s Adopt-A-Trail program, working with the Tahoe National Forest maintaining the 4 wheel drive trails in the Gold Valley trail system.
Morris owns and built a Toyota LandCruiser, an YJ, and a trusty old Flat Fender Jeep, all from the ground up.
Dick Shannon
Dick, in a former life, was an electronic engineer. He spent 30 years in manufacturing in the high tech industry until retirement in 1995. He first became exposed to 4 wheeling in 1997 when he attended his first Sierra Trek as his grandson’s babysitter. He became hooked and bought and built a ’72 CJ5. His most recent truck is a ’68 Toyota LandCruiser that he rebuilt from the ground up.
He has been a member of California Association of 4 Wheel drive Clubs since he got involved in 4 wheeling and has co-chaired Winter Fun Fest twice, co-chaired Sierra Trek twice and was chairman of Sierra Trek for the last two years. He has worked at 4 wheel drive shops for a total of 5 years and has been an active member of Sierra Treasure Hunters 4 Wheel Drive Club for 5 years.
Both have been active in 4 wheel community services such as Camp Wamp (Wheel Chair Accessible Mountain Programs), DSUSA (Disabled Sports USA), and other countless activities to further 4 wheel drive access and positive public attitude toward off road activities.
Our objective in starting this business is to use our expertise to design and build unique top quality products while still servicing the 4 wheel market with a full range of DYI products.
